The Plate Carrier is designed to accommodate front, back and side rifle plates with most cummerbund designs. In addition to hard armor plates, some plate carriers are also designed to accept additional soft armor protection behind the plates which are commonly referred to as “Plate Backers.” Plate Carriers can be worn over conventional soft armor, or, as a stand-alone system.

Accommodates rifle plate sizes 10x12, and ESAPI Sized. Can accept thicker composite rifle plates, and steel rifle plates if enclosed in the Steel Plate Spall Cover.

Bridging the gap between a plate carrier and a tactical vest, the scalable plate carrier takes the concept of a plate carrier with the added benefit of become a highly maneuverable scalable “Light Tactical Carrier” with the addition of optional ballistic accessories. The Scalable Plate Carrier accepts rifle plates in the front and back, plate backer soft armor inserts and available side cummerbund soft armor inserts. The Scalable Plate carrier can be quickly reconfigured from an enhanced plate carrier design to a tactical carrier.

Available with optional ballistic inserts and accessories: Throat, Collar, Shoulders, Biceps, Front Lower Ab and Lower Back Extenders, and Groin Protector. Accepts most MOLLE configurable pouches.

The Light Tactical Carrier is intended to provide additional wrap around front and back soft armor ballistic panels in a slightly smaller scale to allow for optimum maneuverability. In addition to extented wrap around front and back ballistic panels, the Light Tactical Carrier can accept rifle plates in the front and back, and available side cummerbund soft armor inserts. The Scalable Plate carrier can be adapted from a base light tactical carrier design to a fully kitted tactical carrier.

The Medium Tactical Carrier is intended to provide longer full wrap around front and back soft armor ballistic panels in a conventional tactical design to allow for greater coverage than a light tactical carrier. The full wrap around front and back ballistic panels allow for overlapping side ballistic coverage, without the need for cummerbund ballistics. The Medium Tactical Carrier can accept rifle plates in the front and back, and available side cummerbund soft armor inserts. The Medium Tactical Carrier can be adapted from a base medium tactical carrier design to a fully kitted tactical carrier.

The Heavy Tactical Carrier is the largest of the tactical carrier designs and affords the greatest amount of front and back ballistic panel protection. The front and back ballistic panels are scaled wider and longer for maximum allowable soft armor coverage. The Heavy Tactical design is NOT well suited for small or medium sized operators due to limited movement because of panel size.

In addition to full wrap around front and back ballistic panels, The Heavy Tactical Carrier can accept rifle plates front and back, and available side cummerbund soft armor inserts. The Heavy Tactical Carrier can be adapted from a base heavy tactical carrier design to a fully kitted tactical carrier.
